There are more than 50 churches in Nottoway County. They represent a wide variety of religious denominations.

Nearly every church offers programs to serve its congregants and the community at large. They may range from Bible study to arts and crafts to recreational activities to educational classes. Additionally, most of these churches have community outreach programs to support persons in need. There is also an active ministerial association in the county.
